HOT ! Magna Turquoise Silver Bangle

A large Turquoise gemstone hand set in silver to create an impressive bangle with double silver wave designs on each side, a lobster claw fastener and an extender/safety chain. The bangle has a hinge on one side. The Turquoise is a fairly uniform blue with a few striations of delicate pale brown .

Turquoise is a hydrated phosphate of copper and aluminium, a combination which creates the beautiful bright blue/green hues characteristic of the stone. It is formed when copper rich solutions percolate into pre-existing rocks. The water content evaporates, the copper combines with aluminim and phosphorous to form Turquoise. Often a patchwork of the original host rock remains within the Turquoise, providing a uniqueness to each stone as seen in this piece.

Called “The Breath of Life” by the indigenous American cultures, reminding humans of their Spitituality. Said to attract good luck and friendships, instill calm and alleviate depressions. It is the birthstone for Sagittarius and Aquarius.
